Psalm 61 (fol 82b) - A human figure with a dog's face raises his head, with his mouth open and arms stretched forward. Above the text an eagle flies towards the left. The figure illustrates v.2 (1), 'Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer'. The image of the large bird flying translates the longings of the Psalmist, v.5 (4), 'Oh to be safe under the shelter of thy wings!'

Psalm 62 (fol. 83a) - 'Only for God doth my soul wait in stillness: From Him cometh my salvation,... How long will yet set upon a man, That ye may slay him, all of you...'
