The facsimile binding is an intricate copy of the nineteenth century binding which now houses the manuscript. It is in full dark brown calf with a hollow spine with marbled end-papers. The front and back boards feature a gold-tooled medallion depicting Jacob's dream. The inside bevelled boards also have gold tooling and the spine is gold and blind-tooled exactly following the original. The binding has also been 'aged' so that the book feels like an original manuscript rather than an old book in a new cover.
