On the right-hand page an army of long-eared rabbits is besieging a lone wolf in his castle, which has three turrets from which red banners are flying. In the van and the rear of the army, surrounded by lances, are rabbits carrying crowns and sceptres. On the left (fol. 443r) an army of cats is attacking the dogs’ castle. Lances with red pennants can be seen above the battlements, while the crowned, leading, cat and the cat bringing up the rear hold red and blue shields and brandish swords. The frames around both pages are decorated with a foliage scroll with large old and blue leaves. Multicoloured winged dragons serve as capitals for the outer columns of the gold arcades and a large maned lion’s head for the central ones. The columns rest on dragon’s heads.
